The Rainbow Wildlife Rescue, INC. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization holding Federal and Texas State wildlife rehabilitation permits. All DONATIONS are tax-deductible!
How YOU can help! We are looking for GROUPS (no individuals please...most work here takes more than 2 people) such as the Boy Scouts, Church Groups, AG Classes or any groups interested in helping rebuild simple enclosures out of 2 x 4s and hardware cloth and fencing. Most of the materials are already present. All we need are helping hands and some skilled minds to supervise and instruct the group. Please email rehabilitator@gmail.com!

How much does it all cost???
A LOT! In 2010 the Rainbow Wildlife Rescue accepted 302 animals from 46 Texas Counties (and had to turn away thousands due to lack to space, funds and manpower), went through over 70 lbs Fox Valley milk replacers plus spent money on 60 lbs of dog and catfood and an average of $100 worth of fresh produce WEEKLY.
We spent a lot more on medical supplies, medical care, bottles, cleaning supplies, caging, bedding, canned food, meats, live food, repairs, maintenance, and not to forget the utility bills that are 5 times higher than average when the rescue is full. The phone bill also triples during baby season.
The following points are a few examples of how your donation can help:
Premium dog/puppy and cat/kitten food, dry and cans. Premium means that the top 3 ingredients on the label MUST contain real meat, not by-products, e.g. IAMS ProActive has real chicken as first ingredient.)
VOLUNTEER GROUPS such as the Boy Scouts, Church Groups, AG Classes or any groups interested in helping rebuild simple enclosures.
Also needed:
Committed Volunteers, including Rehabbers & Veterinarians
Release sites in Erath County
Nuts, Pecans
Pedialyte
Storage bins with lids
Paper towels, large trash bags, zip lock freezer bags, laundry detergent, bleach
